Conversations Drive Engagement

Some of us have the opportunity to learn our research and planning trade craft from warriors like Foster Winter. Here is a conversation we shared recently on the power of conversations — within our organizations, across market stakeholder audiences, in policy and political exchanges, and in a host of other communication venues.

When we hear about strategy concerns and screw-ups, almost 100% of the time, some kind of failure in our conversations is at the root. When we use our best conversation designs, methods, assets, and efforts, we can effectively narrow the communication gaps, extend the contribution gains and advance the strategic agenda of the company. Having better, smarter more effective conversations is a matter of intentional culture and management practice!
